One of the problems that can crop up for any enterprise is an overabundance of options. For instance, Studio M maintains a Facebook page, a Twitter feed, an IFTTT account, and soon a Pinterest pag,e, a GitHub repository and a public Evernote notebook. We’re trying to cover a lot of bases, and that’s the problem.
So I’ll be spending the weekend evaluating some options. Hootsuite is a good option, but their widgets rarely work well, and I don’t need the scheduling portion, really. Buffer is good, but I have a personal account there, and I dislike muddying the waters by using different accounts on the same service — the prospect of a catastrophic unintended crospost looms large.
I’m going to be focusing pretty closely on IFTTT at this time. I like the idea of force multipliers, and a single post can become widely distributed is just a few minutes.
If anyone wants to chip in, I’ll be reading the comments, and maybe posting some comparisons.
