I Slid into the DMS (Davidson MakerSpace): Nicky Emanuel
The Davidson Makerspace: a small room with SO many possibilities… and now, I get to be a part of it. On my first day of work, I was a bit unsure about how things would go, but my excitement only increased as I got to know the space a bit better. I learned how to use the 3D printer and virtual reality lab and after a short orientation, I spent the rest of my time brainstorming future workshop ideas and events. My mind was in pure bliss, so much so, I almost did not want to leave at closing. It had been such long since I had had the opportunity to set aside time for my imagination and dusting off those old cobwebs never felt so good. The environment is very chill and allows you to focus on whatever it is you are working on and I am so glad that I get to be a part of something so unique.
